Our dedicated volunteers provide countless hours of exceptional service to patients, visitors and hospital staff. They are an integral part of our Grand Strand Health family, providing valuable support in a variety of departments throughout our facilities. We have many wonderful volunteers and always have room for more!

Where Do I Fit In?

Volunteers make an important contribution to our health care team. There are many areas throughout the hospital that rely on volunteers for assistance. They include the information desk, visitor management at secured access areas, non-clinical assistance in the Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery and nursing stations, as well as clerical support areas such as Marketing, HealthFinders and Organizational Development.

As a volunteer, you may be asked to perform any number of duties. You could assist with mailing services, serve as a receptionist, help at community health screenings or provide wheelchair transportation for discharged patients. The volunteer coordinator will work with you to match your skills and interests with the hospital's needs. We want your volunteer experience to be rewarding.

Who Can Volunteer?

You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. You are never too old to volunteer, nor are you expected to put in long hours. You need only volunteer a minimum of four hours a week. We hope that our volunteers will bring their passion and commit to a long term, rewarding experience with our program.
