The DAISY Award® for extraordinary nurses. Honoring nurses internationally in memory of J. Patrick Barnes

Nominate a Grand Strand Health Nurse for the DAISY Award

At Grand Strand Health, we honor our nurses who provide extraordinary care with The DAISY Award, an international nurse recognition program that celebrates the compassion and skill nurses bring to patients and families every day. When Grand Strand Health nurse is honored with a DAISY Award, we celebrate this recognition publicly with a ceremony, a DAISY Award badge pin, and a beautiful hand-carved stone sculpture. Please consider submitting a nomination for a Grand Strand Health nurse who displayed these qualities while caring for you or your loved one. There is no cost involved. It is just a simple way you may express your gratitude for a special nurse.

About the Daisy Foundation

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP (Immune thrombocytopenic purpura), an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.
